Puppy Pre-School

We offer training packages for your new puppy, before you take him home, (or can bring back for training). This training helps make a smooth transition for you and your new family member. The package prices are in ADDITION to the cost of your puppy. The entire amount of training must be paid up front before we begin working with your puppy.

PACKAGE 1: Two week Course: Includes basic obedience, and house training. We will work with your puppy on leash training, commands such as, sit, down, come and other commands. Also, work with crate training, which includes taking the puppy outside to potty. The price of this two week package is $400.00, this will include any vaccinations your puppy may need while in training with us.

PACKAGE 2: One week obedience and housebreaking, same training as stated above. The price of this one week course is $200.00

PACKAGE 3: Two weeks housetraining only: $200.00

PACKAGE 4: Two weeks obedience training only: $200.00

PACKAGE 5: One week housetraining only OR obedience training only:$150.00.

While in training, your puppy is separated from its mother and littermates, so he/she will keep us up during the first few nights, not you. We also introduce your puppy to short car rides.

Now that my children are 12 and 8, and LOVE the puppies, they are now doing most of the leash training and commands and do a GREAT job, the puppies love to listen to them. Both kids asked me one day if they could make a few extra bucks working with the dogs, SO they DO get any profits from the training packages. It teaches them to work for what they want, and to make money the old fashioned way, while having fun playing with the puppies.

We are always will to work with your puppy longer at your request.

NOTE: WE WILL WORK VERY HARD WITH YOUR NEW PUPPY, BUT WE WILL TELL YOU, THIS IS ONLY THE START OF HOUSETRAINING AND OBEDIENCE. YOUR PUPPY IS JUST THAT A "PUPPY", HIS/HER ORGANS ARE STILL WEAK, JUST AS A CHILD, HE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HOLD HIS/HER BLADDER AND BOWELS FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. IN MY EXPERIENCE, A PUPPY IS AROUND 6 MONTHS OLD BEFORE THEY TOTALLY GE THE 'HANG" OF THE WHOLE HOUSEBREAKING IDEA.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE YOUR PUPPY TO BE TOTALLY HOUSETRAINED, OR OBEDIENCE TRAINED WHEN IT LEAVES, FOR THIS WOULD BE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE. BUT WE WILL GIVE YOUR PUPPY THE BEST START!! LABS ARE VERY SMART AND LEARN QUICKLY!! WE DO USE VERY POSITIVE TECHNIQUES FOR OUR TRAINING.

YOU MUST CONTINUE TO WORK JUST AS HARD WITH YOUR PUPPY WHEN YOU GET HIM/HER HOME. REMEMBER, PUNISHMENT NEVER HELPS A PUPPY, PRAISE GETS THE MOST POSITIVE RESULTS!!! YOUR LABRADOR LIVES TO MAKE YOU HAPPY, AND WILL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU!!!
